Cena 14 - Uma Idéia Para o Ano Novo e Meu Blog Agora é Bilingüe!

So I heard there's a New Year arriving on the next plane. That means the old one has to run off and catch the first train to the past. How much baggage it has to take depends on how much of its stuff the New Year likes and thus decides to keep. In my opinion, if your past year is dragging 5 pieces of heavy luggage, 2 backpacks, 3 suitcases, a handbag and a laptop case to the station, you'll have an exciting 2008, completely redecorated.

On the other had, I hope we all, little by little, learn to live our lives in a way that when the New Year arrives, it can take a look around and appreciate the view. Maybe next year you'll acquire more friends, have even more fun, more trust and faith, add beautiful memories to your personal belongings, discover new music, watch great movies, bring home more dancing and have long and deep conversations about nothing. That's all light baggage.

And then, maybe, just maybe, I (and you, though the collection may differ a little) will be able to leave behind the extra weight, the time and joy-consuming conflicts, painful heartbreaks, huge cell phone bills, pointless fears, embarrassing selfishness and some seriously useless heated discussions.

This way, when the new New Year arrives, it will welcome it all, and the then old year will be able to run freely to catch the other train, the one only those carrying just a piece of hand luggage are allowed to take - the one they call Saudade. It has the same destination as the conventional one - the past. But I assure you, it's a much better ride.
